Dear Mayor and Council,

I am writing to you again about my and many residents of #14 Erskine Lane concerns about the over development on Erskine Lane.

With the development of #7 Erskine Lane in front of you on Tuesday May 3, I would like to once again ask this council to have some compassion for the current residents of Erskine Lane.

As we all know there are plans to develop or redevelop almost every single lot on Erskine Lane. If all of these get approved we are looking at an 800% increase in density on our small narrow 200 meter long dead end lane. We will go from approximately 138 people to 1,230. Currently, View Royals population is 11,000, you are asking this small dead-end lane to house almost 10% of the population of View Royal! We are all in favour of more housing in View Royal and the residents of Erskine Lane are more than willing to take our share but to ask us to endure a 800% increase in density and 10% of the entire towns population is beyond unfair.

If , in spite of the opposition, you do decide to grant the developers of #7 their requested permits I hope you will include the need to extend Erskine Lane onto Hospital Way to give an alternative exit. It is the very least that Council can do.

Respectfully, Larry & Kathleen Gilbert #68-14 Erskine lane
