To Mayor and Council:
We urge Council to NOT adopt the Staff recommendation contained in Item 8.1 a, in particular the following recommendation “AND THAT Council restart the Official Community Plan update and move forward with the final phase of the project”. We feel strongly that current Draft OCP report is the result of a flawed process that lacked adequate opportunities for public involvement. We would very much like to see Council take a step back and offer better public involvement with opportunities for engagement and discussion. The current Draft OCP represents a very significant change to our community and we feel that the residents of View Royal deserve a voice in the decisions affecting us.
