Dear Mayor and Council,
As the town is about to start its deliberations on the OCP, this is a wonderful opportunity to really embark on a quest to build community.
Colwood recently mailed out a survey to all its residents asking them to participate in planning for the future of Colwood for the next 4 years. This will be followed by an Ideas Fair.
The OCP for View Royal lays out the roadmap for the Town for the next TEN years. If we are to remain resilient over these very challenging times ahead, we need to come together and plan well.
Last year, the council had generously approved $3000 for the VRCC to host a Fall Fair event. Due to covid and lack of time and resources, that was put on hold.
I would like to see those funds diverted to a Town-led community event around reviewing the OCP, perhaps with support from a special Ad Hoc Committee.
