As a resident of View Royal, I encourage Council to maintain its support of the CRD Arts Service.
COUNCILLOR ROGER’S MOTION TO AMEND CRD ARTS FUNDING:
THAT Council review View Royal’s group level participation in the CRD Arts, with consideration to also fund a Westshore Arts Centre;
AND THAT the Town request all Westshore municipalities to join or modify their CRD contributions toward a truly regionally funded arts program and infrastructure
ABOUT THE CRD ARTS SERVICE:
Over 90 non-profit Arts organizations receive CRD grants each year, providing a critical source of funding for the programs they offer.
Over 9000 performances and events receive funding from CRD Arts.
View Royal’s participation in the CRD Arts Service costs only $24 per household.
