Dear Mr. Alcock,
RE: 14-A Helmcken Road – Unlicensed Vehicle and Secondary Suite Inspection
As per our conversation this morning, outstanding items that need to be resolved are as followed.
Concerns to be address from the fire department:
- Unit 1 as you enter the premise on the right hand side pad lock hardware must be removed.
- Doorway facing driveway and doorway at the rear of the house obstructions must be removed from doorway and proper closing devices installed.
As per the motorhome parked on the side yard:
- Land Use Bylaw #35 Part 6 Zoning Section 29 – (3) prohibits use of a recreational vehicle as a dwelling.
- Land Use Bylaw # 35 Section 33 (1) – Storage of vehicles on any residential lot shall be limited to one unlicensed vehicle stored in the rear yard.
- Land Use Bylaw # 35 Section 33 (3) – No vehicle in excess of 7.5 meters (conversion 24 feet 6 inches) shall be parked in front yard.
A re-inspection is scheduled for February 25, 2013 at 10:30 am to insure compliance with the above mentioned issues. Failure to comply will result in monetary fines daily.
Please advise your tenants of their rights in accordance with the Residential Tenancy Act.
