West Shore RCMP file 2014-15112:
At approx. 0245hrs, I attended 14A Helmcken Rd. in View Royal, BC and the generator had been turned off. No noise heard. I spoke to a female resident in the motorhome and advised her of the complaints to police and View Royal Bylaw over the loud generator. The female stated the landlord made her aware to have the generator turned off by 2300hrs daily, but she had been ill the past few days and fell asleep. She awoke at approx. 2330hrs and turned the generator off realizing it was after 2300hrs. She was apologetic.
I spoke to my Supervisor who advised that if it did not stop, we could attend your residence and record the noise as how it sounds from your residence. If the situation warranted, we could initiate a Mischief investigation if it impedes your ability to enjoy your property. It will also have to be reported to View Royal Bylaw since it is an ongoing Bylaw issue.
