Sirs;
I believe this variance should be allowed for the following reasons.
- A 2.5 metre fence only running the length of the back yard and the house will not impede vision for people using the trail to view traffic on Burnett Rd. The fence will the drop to a shorter fence and allow a good sightline.
- You have already approved a higher fence line in another area and the reasoning you give is related to railroad track height. There is no train running and who can say if it will ever run there again?
- We have been told by residents adjacent to the Galloping Goose trail that there have been many instances of theft after the trail was developed. They feel that a lack of privacy contributed to this.
- As a neighbour I can assure you that both my wife and I fully support this application for variance, as does the rest of the neighbourhood. Do the right thing. You would want your own privacy protected.
