PETITIONS & DELEGATIONS
BUSINESS ARISING FROM PREVIOUS MINUTES a) Rudyard Road Open House Update The Deputy Director of Engineering advised the Committee that in 2005 a report was submitted to Council regarding traffic issues in the Rudyard Road and Stormont Road area, resulting in the installation of speed humps; change of the pedestrian signal to a full signal; and the installation of a “No Left Turn” sign at Helmcken Road and Rudyard Road. This area is still used as a short-cut route for commuters, and while the RCMP do enforce in this area when they have the resources, Rudyard Road and a few Stormont Road residents continue to find this an issue. At Council’s direction, an Open House will be held on March 26th from 4-6pm at Town Hall, and a questionnaire has been delivered to the residents of this area with six proposed options prepared by Boulevard Transportation Group. The results will be compiled and a report submitted to Council for the April 7, 2015 Council Meeting.
