My next-door neighbour has applied to the Town of View Royal to have his tall birch tree removed. For a number years, we have asked Mr. Sobel to consider removing that tree.
When we moved into our present home thirty-two years ago we had a sunny front yard. It remained so until about ten years ago when our neighbour's birch tree began to shade our front yard gardens, bushes and trees, from early morning until the middle of the afternoon.
In addition, the leaves and small branches from such a large tree have become an increasing yard maintenance issue. Keeping the roof gutters on the front of our house clear is becoming difficult.
My wife and I support removing the over-sized birch tree.
