The proposed 6.0 m wide access road will be extended into the site from the east end of Bishan Place. The new road will match the existing grade of Bishan Place and will extend through the existing rock outcrop and onto the site. A corridor will be blasted through the rock that will be approximately 20 m in length, 8 m wide at the base and up to 3.5 m deep at the peak. The rock will be blasted in accordance with current best practices (multiple shallow blasts and provision of protective cover over the blasting area) and will be scaled as recommended by the project geotechnical consultant. Permits will be required prior to blasting and a pre-blast survey will be carried out on nearby properties noting existing property conditions prior to the first blast. No blasting will extend into existing adjacent privately owned lands.
