DEAR PROPERTY OWNER AND/OR OCCUPANT:

This is to advise that there will be a meeting of the Planning and Land Use Committee on Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at Colwood City Hall, 3300 Wishart Road, Colwood, B.C. at which the following application will be considered:

Application: Development Variance Permit DVP-15-010

Applicant: Westridge Landing Ltd.

Location: 318 Wale Road

Legal: Lot 1, Section 1, Esquimalt District, Plan EPP13164, Except part in Strata Plan VIS6898 (Phase 2 and 3)

Zoning: Service Commercial (CS1) Zone

Purpose: A Development Variance Permit has been requested to vary Section 12(d)(ii) of the Sign Bylaw (No. 60), increasing the maximum allowable height of a 3 fascia signs of the hotel building currently under construction on the subject property as follows:

  1. from 1.2m to 3.4m for one “Holiday Inn” fascia sign on the north elevation;
  2. from 1.2m to 4.2m for one “Holiday Inn” fascia sign on the east elevation; and
  3. from 1.2m to 2.55m for one “Holiday Inn” fascia sign on the south elevation

You are invited to attend this meeting to hear the proposal, ask questions of the applicant and to offer comments.
