I wonder why the CRD held a meeting for us to voice our opinions. It appears that the View Royal Council and the CRD had made plans and are still going ahead whether we like it or not.

Did you notice the New NO Parking signs on our road? I still wonder where our visitors will park. Have you seen the large trucks going up Hallowell? Have you seen the dust rising as more and more vehicles are coming and going from the Gateway to the Esquimalt Nation? Have you smelled the stench coming from the dirt path that they have already prepared for the trail? Of course not, you don't live here.

What will happen to our convenient mall when people get tired of trying to get on to Hallowell and then Admiral?

I realize that at this moment it only seems to be affecting 5 townhomes directly on Hallowell, but it is important to keep in mind that the impact will be negative on all the residents of our strata plus other strata's around us. I bought this townhouse in 2000, and it was a residential area. It should be kept a residential area, we pay the taxes.

I feel very strongly that our Mayor should be fighting for us, not be in with the CRD so that he can get a new road at the CRD's expense.

Several years ago we had trouble with Trio Cement and the council then helped us to close the road to all heavy traffic. I certainly wish that we had that council now.

WAKE UP: MAYOR AND COUNCIL. We are the taxpayers living in a residential neighborhood.
