STRATEGIC PLAN 2014 - 2018
RECOMMENDATION:
THAT Council approve the Strategic Plan 2014 – 2018.
CHIEF ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER’S COMMENTS:
I concur with the recommendation.
PURPOSE OF REPORT:
To seek approval of the Strategic Plan for the 2014 – 2018 Council term.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION:
The draft Strategic Plan 2014 – 2018 was discussed at the June 9, 2015 Committee of the Whole meeting. At that meeting input was provided on the draft and subsequently included into this version (see Attachment “A”). Also added since the June 9 meeting are additional timelines and “resources required” information.
The Plan identifies four key strategic priorities as follows:
- Financial Sustainability and Service Excellence
- Enhance Liveability
- Community and Economic Growth
- Maintain Strong Relationships with our Neighbours
Within each of these strategic priorities, specific projects and initiatives have been listed as well as accompanying timelines and resource requirements where known. Quarterly reports will continue to be provided for status updates to Council on this “living document”.
RECOMMENDATION:
THAT Council approve the Strategic Plan 2014 – 2018.
