A Guide To Secondary Suites
RECOMMENDATION:

PURPOSE OF REPORT:
To introduce the new Guide to Secondary Suites to Council. The guide was created as a tool to assist the public in understanding the process to create legal secondary suites.
PROJECT INFORMATION:
Staff receive many questions with respect to secondary suite permits and the requirements from both a Land Use Bylaw and Building Code perspective. The attached guide is an attempt to answer the most common questions in a user friendly format and will assist homeowners, contractors and developers through the permitting process. The Guide will be available on the Town website as well as at the front counter at Town hall.
