RE: Development Permit Application of Reliable Controls Headquarters 120 Hallowell Road, Victoria
To Whom It May Concern:
We are pleased to submit this Development Permit application on behalf of the Reliable Controls Corporation, for the renovation of the North Wing of their headquarters. This renovation is largely an interior reorganization of their older facility, to suit their operations once they have expanded into their new addition. There are two elements of the renovation which impact the form and character of the building: a window cut into a blank stucco portion of the facade (previously the backing for the 'Play Zone' signage) and a new shipping door with glazed steel canopy, adjacent to the Outlook Place loading area. These elements have been designed to strengthen the visual continuity between the original building and the new addition; we believe them to be in keeping with the design as approved in the previous Development Permit application.
Please note we have discussed this project with planning staff and received direction on application requirements from Senior Planner Jeff Chow.
If clarifications or additional information is required please do not hesitate to contact our office.
Sincerely,
