a) Queen’s Diamond Jubilee - Nominees MOVED BY: Councillor Screech SECONDED: Councillor Rast THAT Maureen Duffus be the Town of View Royal nominee for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee medal; AND THAT Louise Baur be the Town of View Royal’s alternate nominee for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee medal. CARRIED

b) View Royal Reading Centre Closing Council discussed the View Royal Reading Centre’s closure at the end of October 2012. MOVED BY: Councillor Rast SECONDED: Councillor Screech THAT a letter be sent to the View Royal Reading Centre expressing Council’s appreciation and thanks for the years of community service as well as an offer of assistance as required in the close out logistics. CARRIED
