  3. RISING REPORT From the April 21, 2009 In-Camera Council meeting

    1. Advisory Committee/Sub-Committee Appointments MOVED BY: Councillor Rogers SECONDED: Councillor Britton THAT Cheryl Hanna, Ian Brown, Cherylynn Hunt and Tricia Irish be appointed to the Parks, Recreation and Environment Advisory Committee from May 1, 2009 to February 28, 2011; AND FURTHER THAT Chris Walker, Linda Pakos, Phil Devonshire and Rik Tacoma be appointed to the Planning and Development Advisory Committee from May 1, 2009 to February 28, 2011; AND FURTHER THAT Sue-Anne Carter, Dick Faulks and Paul Robertson be appointed to the Transportation Advisory Committee from May 1, 2009 to February 28, 2011; AND FURTHER THAT the Trails and Greenways Sub-Committee continue for the 2009-10 term; AND THAT Council Ian Brown, Lynn Malcolm and Michael Fox be appointed to the Trails and Greenways Sub-Committee from May 1, 2009 to February 28, 2010.     2. Animal Control Contract MOVED BY: Councillor Screech SECONDED: Councillor Britton THAT the Town of View Royal enter into a three year agreement, together with a right of renewal for two additional years, with the Capital Regional District for animal control services; AND THAT the Mayor and Chief Administrative Officer be authorized to execute the necessary related documents. CARRIED Councillor Britton voted in the negative
    3. Transfer of Dog Licensing Services to the Capital Regional District MOVED BY: Councillor Britton SECONDED: Councillor Screech THAT Council approve the transfer of the dog licensing service to the animal control provider to begin for the 2010 licensing cycle; AND THAT the Mayor and Chief Administrative Officer be authorized to execute the necessary documents to affect this transfer; AND FURTHER THAT the Town, in transferring the dog licensing service to the CRD, act as a CRD license vendor. CARRIED
