Details of Item to be Added: Call for Bill 44 public engagement

Move that, because Bill 44 will override municipal zoning requirements and eliminate the need for public hearings for increased density on residential lots and because the Province has engaged with neither residents nor the Town of View Royal on this matter, that a Town Hall meeting be held to capture the voices of residents on this important issue and that the mayor will write our MLA, the Housing Minister, the Premier and the Auditor General urging them to halt readings on this legislation until fulsome public engagement has been completed with municipalities and their residents.
