Correspondence opposing the 100% increase in suite permit fees and suggesting expenditure trimming instead.

To the mayor and Council of View Royal,
It has come to my attention that this mayor and council intends to increase the suite permit by 100% This after increasing the size of council and giving themselves raises and raising property taxes.
No other municipality has a fee. There is critical housing and affordability issues, And any increase will not improve other of those concerns.
It is up to the mayor and council to be fiscally responsible with taxpayers money Instead of raising fees, you should be looking at where there can be trimming of the waste at the town of View Royal.
I suggest you drop the suite fee to be in line with other municipalities
