b) Development Variance Permit 2023-08 - 1517 and 1519 Admirals Road

Staff Recommendation: THAT Council authorize the issuance of Development Variance Permit No. 2023-08 for 1517 and 1519 Admirals Road, including the following variance to Section 5.10 of Zoning Bylaw No. 900, 2014:

  • reduce the minimum required number of parking spaces from 290 spaces to 247.

c) Atkins Roundabout - Construction Contract Awards

Staff Recommendation: THAT Council approve the award of the Six Mile Road at Atkins Road Roundabout Construction contract to Don Mann Excavating at a total cost of $2,960,987.25 excluding applicable taxes;

AND THAT Council approve the award of the Six Mile Road at Atkins Road Roundabout Contract Administration contract to McElhanney at a total cost of $149,249.00 excluding applicable taxes;

AND FURTHER THAT the project budget for C-018 be increased by $1,528,000 in the 2024 – 2028 Financial Plan for the Six Mile Road at Atkins Road Roundabout project, utilizing Casino Reserve and ICBC grant funding.
