Re: 1681 Island Highway
Dear Mayor & Members of Council:
On behalf of our client, Dan Parker of Highview Properties Ltd., we are pleased to submit this application for re-zoning for the above named property.
The development consists of a single storey, multi-bay (3), service building. The nature of Mad Man McKays' business has seen an increase in installation of in vehicle electronic sound and security systems. There is currently only one service bay in the existing building and adding three (3) new bays in a new building is an optimal solution to meet their needs.
The new building meets all requirements for setbacks, site coverage, floor area, and height There is a reduction of six (6) parking stalls on site, but the overall parking requirements for the site still meets the Town of View Royal standards.
The new service building is designed to match the colours of the existing building so as to integrate it into the site as a whole.
We trust this proposed development is acceptable and look forward to approval for this project.
Sincerely yours,
Peter de Hoog Architect AIBC MRAIC de Hoog & Kierulf architects
