RECOMMENDATION:

THAT Council give first, second and third readings to Juan de Fuca Fees and Charges Bylaw No. 701, 2007, Amendment Bylaw No. 970, 2017.

I concur with the recommendation.

PURPOSE OF REPORT:

To present Juan de Fuca Fees and Charges Bylaw No. 701, 2007, Amendment Bylaw No. 970, 2017 for consideration of first, second and third readings.

BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION:

Annually, West Shore Parks and Recreation Society (WSPRS) submits proposed fees and charges for the upcoming year (2017/18). The fees and charges set out in Schedules “A” and “B” of the attached Juan de Fuca Fees and Charges Bylaw No. 701, 2007, Amendment Bylaw No. 970, 2017 (see Attachment “A”) were accepted by the West Shore Parks and Recreation Society Board of Directors on April 20, 2017 and have been referred to the member municipalities, including View Royal, for enactment as a bylaw.

Also attached for Council’s reference are the fees and charges comparison of 2016/17 rates to those proposed for 2017/18 (see Attachment “B”).

RECOMMENDATION:

THAT Council give first, second and third readings to Juan de Fuca Fees and Charges Bylaw No. 701, 2007, Amendment Bylaw No. 970, 2017.
