Dear Ms. Callow:

On behalf of the Recreational Fisheries Conservation Partnerships Program (RFCPP), I would like to thank you for submitting your project entitled: Millstream Fishway Project.

I am pleased to inform you that your project has been approved for funding and that you could be eligible for an amount up to $40,000 for 2017-2018 and $205,000 for 2018-2019.

Provision of funding is conditional upon a contribution agreement being signed by your organization and Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO). A contribution agreement must contain a detailed work plan, budget and cash flow projection that are consistent with RFCPP rules. As such, to develop the contribution agreement, information in addition to what was provided in your application form may be required. A member of the regional RFCPP team will contact you soon to discuss in more detail.

Under the RFCPP, a maximum of 75% of the total project cost can be covered by government cash sources and a maximum of 50% can be covered by federal cash sources. Based on the information provided in your application, this requirement may be met if other sources of funds that were identified as pending have been confirmed since the date you submitted your application. If pending sources of funds have not been confirmed, the RFCPP team will work with you to explore options to determine if or how RFCPP funding can be provided while ensuring that the aforementioned limits are respected.

Again, thank you for your interest in the RFCPP and for your willingness to help restore Canada’s recreational fisheries habitat.

Please do not hesitate to contact the regional RFCPP team (RFCPP-PPCPR.Pacific@dfo-mpo.gc.ca) if you have any questions or would like to discuss this matter further.

Wishing you success in your project,

Alain Magnan Regulatory Review Manager Fisheries Protection Program Pacific Region Fisheries and Oceans Canada
