Subject: Gratitude to the View Royal Fire Department
Dear Mayor Screech:
I wish to convey to you our sincere thank you and gratitude to the View Royal Fire Department regarding their participation in our most recent Justice Institute of British Columbia, Enhanced Basic Standards Training for Security Professionals training program.
In the past few years, Camosun College began offering the J.I.B.C. Enhanced BST Security Training program with much success.
On November 23rd, 2016 as well as March 20th, 2017 I understand that our JIBC Instructors, Edward and Richard Illi had partnered with your Fire Chief Paul Hurst and Assistant Chief Rob Marshall to introduce our students to the complexities of different fire behaviours and a variety of fire suppression systems.
In addition to this classroom component, Chief Hurst and Assistant Chief Marshall were kind enough to facilitate a visit to your state-of-the-art Fire Hall for some "hands on" fire suppression equipment orientation for our students. I have received excellent feedback from our Instructors and students for this most educational and practical experience.
I am confident that you would agree that this cooperative effort only serves to enhance the professionalism of our students as they enter into the Security industry.
Once again, please accept our sincere thanks for the time and effort of the View Royal Fire Department to assist Camosun College in preparing well rounded Security professionals.
Sincerely,
Grace Moises Acting Program Coordinator Continuing Education, School of Trades & Technology Interurban Campus Tel: 250-370-4569 Email: Moises@camosun.ca
