TOWN OF VIEW ROYAL BYLAW NO. 1019: A BYLAW TO LEVY RATES FOR MUNICIPAL, REGIONAL DISTRICT AND HOSPITAL PURPOSES FOR THE YEAR 2019

A BYLAW TO LEVY RATES FOR MUNICIPAL, REGIONAL DISTRICT AND HOSPITAL PURPOSES FOR THE YEAR 2019
The Council of the Town of View Royal, in open meeting assembled, enacts as follows:
The following rates are hereby imposed and levied for the year 2019: (a) For all lawful general purposes of the Municipality on the assessed value of land and improvements levied on the General assessment base, rates appearing in Column (A) of the Schedule “A” attached hereto and forming a part of this Bylaw. (b) For purposes of the Capital Regional District on the assessed value of land and improvements levied on the General assessment base, rates appearing in Column (B) of the Schedule “A“ attached hereto and forming a part of this Bylaw; (c) For Regional Hospital District purposes on the assessed value of land and improvements levied on the Hospital assessment base, rates appearing in Column (C) of the Schedule ”A” attached hereto and forming a part of this Bylaw; (d) For the purposes of the Capital Regional District, Northwest Trunk Sewer on the assessed value of land and improvements taxable for Regional Sewer purposes, rates appearing in Column (D) of the Schedule “A” attached hereto and forming a part of this Bylaw.
The minimum amount of taxation upon a parcel of real property shall be One ($1.00) Dollar.
Rates and taxes imposed under this bylaw must be paid to the Town of View Royal at the Municipal Hall, 45 View Royal Avenue, Victoria, British Columbia, not later than July 2, 2019.
The Town of View Royal must add 10% to the taxes of the current year in respect of each parcel of land and the improvements on the real property tax roll remaining unpaid 12:01 a.m. on July 3, 2019. No exceptions shall be made.
This Bylaw may be cited for all purposes as the “Tax Rates Bylaw No. 1019, 2019”.
