RECOMMENDATION:

THAT two 4’x8’ signs for advertising the Canada Day celebrations on July 1, 2019 be approved for posting until Sunday, July 7, 2019 at the Craigflower Manor property.

PURPOSE OF REPORT:

To present Council with a request to grant the approval for posting two 4’x8’ signs for the purpose of advertising the Town of View Royal/Highland Games Society’s Canada Day celebrations to take place on July 1, 2019 on the Craigflower Manor property.

BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION:

For the third year in a row, the Town of View Royal, in conjunction with the Highland Games Society will be hosting a Canada Day celebration on July 1, 2019 at the Craigflower Manor.

To promote this joint initiative, the Highland Games Society wants to post two 4’x8’ signs on the Craigflower Manor property – one on the Admirals Road side and one on the Island Highway side. The signs will advertise the celebration and include both the Town and Highland Games Society logos as well as the date and time of the event. The recommendation contains an end date by which the signs are to be removed.

RECOMMENDATION:

THAT two 4’x8’ signs for advertising the Canada Day celebrations on July 1, 2019 be approved for posting until Sunday, July 7, 2019 at the Craigflower Manor property.
