Island Highway Typical Section (NTS)

Sidewalk (1.80m): 100mm thick concrete sidewalk (150mm thick at driveway crossings) on 100mm of 20mm minus crushed gravel.
Bus Stop (3.00m): 2.0% cross-slope.
Bike Lane (1.90m): 1.0-4.0% cross-slope.
Pavement Structure:
- 100mm thick asphalt paving (top lift and bottom lift).
- 100mm of 19mm minus crushed gravel.
- 250mm of 75mm minus pit run gravel placed on subgrade approved by a geotechnical engineer.
- Non-mountable curb.
- Note: Confirm subbase with proof roll.

Grading Plan Details

Plan Notes:

Bollard lighting, typ. by others.
Tie into existing curb and sidewalk at the next sidewalk panel.
Bike lane lines and marking to be repainted after paving.
Catch basin to be moved and adjusted to the new gutter.
100mm thermoplastic white traffic line.
Adjust pavers and existing catchbasin to suit new curb.
Curb return to be adjusted to align with the property line.

Building (South): FG 37.25, S 33.106, D 34.780, O+41.7, MBFE 35.6
