Chilco Park Off-Leash Dog Area

Developed in 2005, Chilco Park features a fantastic open greenspace, picnic areas, and a large playground for both younger and older children. In recent years, residents in the Chilco area have expressed interest in further developing Chilco Park to include a secure off-leash dog area. Possible benefits include:

• Opportunities for dog-owning neighbours to catch up and meet other community members
• Separation of dogs from other park users
• Space for dogs to be safely socialized

The Town of View Royal is seeking input from the local area to determine if a secure off-leash dog area is desired, and if so, how it would be developed.
