Dear Mayor and Council,
My name is Sherri Gudjonson and I live at 12 Eaton Ave. I have lived here since 1998 and Sue-Anne and Troy Carter moved into 8 Eaton Ave a couple years later. We have become not only neighbours but close friends.
Sue-Anne and Troy have put their hearts and souls into our little neighbourhood over the years. Their kindness and compassion for all of our neighbours truly sets the bar that has made our community such a wonderful place to live.
This permit is, however, about Troys workshop and giving him more space to create his craft. The variance is so small to not let this get approved. If anyone deserves a place like this, it is him. I’ve watched him help dozens of neighbours over the years with so many different things and always with a smile on his face. Personally, he has helped me many times when I’ve been down, injured or sick. Waking up to see your lawn mowed after surgery is a pretty nice gesture.
I am hoping that you issue the Development Variance Permit for them as having neighbours like the Carter’s is a very special thing for us all to have.
