Good morning - my attempts to access the handidart survey at website "bctransit.com/viewroyal/handydart" are currently disallowed with the error message: Error 404 -- Not Found
Thus this e-mail.
As a long term owner of a property in View Royal, bordering on Craigflower Creek and about six minutes walk from the proposed handidart depot location at the intersection of Burnside W and Watkiss roads, I am
STRONGLY AGAINST THE PROPOSED LOCATION
Reasons include the following:
- The proposal presents risks to the environmentally sensitive Craigflower Creek and the related fishery and adjacent parkland.
- A large number of laws, policies and regulations intended to protect the environment against this sort of thing appear to have benn simply pushed aside.
- Land will be converted from current recreational use to industrial use.
- Traffic for handidart vehicles, employees and service vehicles will be added to the existing traffic bottleneck known as the Collwood Crawl.
- Nearby residents will suffer increased traffic, noise and polution.
- Most Victoria development and population growth occurs west of View Roval where there is ample land for ----- Message truncated -----
