Subject: HandyDART Facility Proposal at 2401 Burnside Road W.

Hello, I live in a condo at 1900 Watkiss Way, which I purchased last July. I recently learned about the proposed rezoning of the above property from park to a BC Transit facility. I understand that Craigflower Creek runs through this property. I am surprised and disappointed that council would entertain any proposal that would replace green space with an industrial facility that would have such an impact on a sensitive environmental area that includes a creek.

Aside from the serious environmental concerns, the increased traffic, noise, and pollution would negatively impact this area. This corner is currently quite busy, but a lot of weekend traffic is made up of walkers and bicyclists enjoying the Galloping Goose trail, and stopping at the Nest for a coffee. A facility such as the one proposed would completely change the park-like feel of the neighbourhood and negatively impact our quality of life and enjoyment of our property.

I sincerely hope that Council considers these concerns and listens to the citizens on this issue. Thank you.
