COUNCIL AND COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE 2019 MEETING SCHEDULE

RECOMMENDATION:

THAT Council adopt the Council and Committee of the Whole 2019 meeting schedule.

PURPOSE OF REPORT:

To provide Council with the 2019 schedule for Council and Committee of the Whole meetings.

DISCUSSION:

The proposed 2019 Council and Committee of the Whole meeting schedule is provided as Attachment “A”.

The Association of Vancouver Island and Coastal Communities’ Convention is being held April 12-14, 2019 in Powell River and the 2019 Union of British Columbia Municipalities’ Convention is being held in Vancouver from September 23-27, 2019. These event dates do not conflict with the proposed 2019 Council and Committee of the Whole meeting schedule.

In keeping with past practice over a number of years, the first proposed meeting in January is the Committee of the Whole (set for Tuesday, January 8, 2018) given that Town Hall will be closed for winter holidays and will re-open on Wednesday, January 2, 2019.
