RECOMMENDATION:

THAT Council receives the report for information.

CHIEF ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER’S COMMENTS:

I concur with the recommendation.

PURPOSE OF REPORT:

To provide Council with an update on the project scheduling.

BACKGROUND:

The initial installation date for the Equipment was scheduled for completion in August of 2018.

PROJECT INFORMATION:

Staff received news from the supplier that their factory had received extensive fire damage, 62 orders that were scheduled to be shipped the week of July 4 were damaged in the fire. The resupply is a 6 to 8 week period. Depending on our order queue, we could wait an additional several weeks until production of the Town’s order starts. Staff are awaiting confirmation of our expected production date as well as the new delivery date.

BUDGET IMPLICATIONS:

There will be no impact to budgets because of the fire.
