Good Afternoon,
We are residents at 2227 Meadowvale Drive, Suzana and Barry Kalyn.
At the Town Hall meeting last night many concerns were raised by local property owner’s.
The scope and magnitude of this proposal is significant and will have a negative impact on the surrounding area.
Traffic congestion, pollution, noise and potential environmental damage are some of the concerns that we have.
We agree with property owners who purchased their properties before this proposal was even put forward; that they bought knowing the surrounding area and liked the quiet and green space around them.
We fail to understand why this location was chosen; close to an elementary school and in a residential area? This type of proposal would be best suited to a commercial or industrial area. We also note that the land zoning would have to be changed ; has there been any consultation with CRD?
If this proposal goes through; we would seriously reconsider our choices in the upcoming election.
