Council held a Regular Meeting where delegations discussed the draft Regional Growth Strategy (RGS). Council subsequently provided feedback to the CRD focusing on concerns regarding the removal of water servicing as a growth management tool outside the Regional Urban Containment Service Provision Area (RUCSPA). Council also approved two Development Variance Permits, a tree removal permit (566 Prince Robert Drive), and the 2016-2020 Five Year Financial Plan, which included a 3.76% tax increase. Councillor Mattson voted against the Financial Plan approval and the tax increase resolution.

- THAT Development Permit No. 2016/03 - #120-19 Helmcken Road be approved. (C-25-16)
- THAT Development Variance Permit No. 2016/04 - #130-23 Helmcken Road be approved. (C-26-16)
- THAT one (1) tree as at 566 Prince Robert Drive be removed as requested; AND THAT as per the Town's Tree Protection Bylaw No. 695, that two (2) trees be replanted (2:1 ratio) for this one (1) tree to be removed. (C-27-16)
- Council decided to formally inform the CRD that the removal of water servicing restrictions for rural areas in the draft RGS is a major concern.
- Council approved the overall municipal budget framework for the next five years.
