From the February 9, 2016 Committee of the Whole meeting:
Strategic Priorities 2015-2018
THAT the Committee recommend to Council that the following amendments to the Strategic Plan Priorities 2015-2018 be approved as discussed at the February 9, 2016 Committee of the Whole meeting:
- recognition that the Fees and Charges Bylaw review will be completed through a series of bylaw amendments;
- addition of status dates for master plan updates as follows: o transportation – June 2016; o drainage – fall 2016; o parks – June 2016; and o sanitary sewer – 2017;
- addition of March 2016 as the status dates for both the development of a surplus policy and to review the reserve funds ;
- change of timing to 2016 from 2015 for the Streets and Traffic Bylaw review;
- addition of the Sign Bylaw review to be carried out in 2016;
- change of timing to Spring 2016 from 2015 for the Subdivision and Development Servicing Bylaw review;
- change of timing for the development of a tree canopy and urban forestry policy to 2017 from 2016;
- change to Administration staff from Engineering staff for a Pitch-in Week initiative in 2016;
- change of timing to 2017 for the exploration of the development of a heritage policy;
- removal of “Completed” regarding the meetings with key property owners;
- change of timing to 2017 from 2016/2017 for the development of urban design standards to support municipal investment in the public realm;
- identification of consultant resources required for the initiatives outlined for “Support opportunities for local services and employment”;
- change of timing to 2017 for the “identification of missing local services in neighbourhoods and significant lands where new business might consider locating”; and
- extension of timing to include 2016 regarding the Westside Solutions program for sewage treatment. (COW-04-16)
