Ms. Cullington gave an overview of the Juan de Fuca Performing Arts Centre proposal to Council and extended an invitation for Mayor and Council to attend the West Shore Arts Forum on February 28, 2016.

C-01-16 THAT Development Permit No. 2015/12 be approved as per the plans and reports attached to the January 27, 2016 report from the Senior Planner titled “Development Permit Application No. 2015/12 – 102 Atkins Road”;
AND THAT Development Permit No. 2015/12 include the following conditions:
- Tree protection measures as recommended by the project arborist to be in place prior to issuance of building permits;
- Landscape cost estimate to be provided prior to development permit issuance.
AND FURTHER THAT Development Permit No. 2015/12 include the following variance:
- Variance to the minimum rear yard setback for a hydro kiosk from 7.0m to 0.0m. CARRIED
b) West Shore Parks and Recreation Society Board of Directors Alternate

THAT there is a need to have a meeting closed to the public and persons other than the immediate members of Council, officers and employees of the Town, and those identified under Section 91 (2) of the Community Charter shall be excluded on the basis of Section 90 (1)(c) – labour relation; (g) – potential litigation; and (k) – provisions of a municipal service. CARRIED
