FORM AND CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT PERMIT AMENDMENT LAKESIDE VILLAGE COMMERCIAL – 430 SIX MILE RD

RECOMMENDATION

THAT Council approve Development Permit 2016/01 to amend Development Permit 2013/15 and Development Permit 2014-02 by:

• replacing Landscape Drawings L1.01, L2.01, L3.01
• adding Landscape Drawing L4.01 (Stormwater Management Plan)

as described in the report from the Planner dated February 11, 2016.

PURPOSE OF REPORT

The purpose of this report is to describe the replacement of the landscape drawings for Lakeside Village to enable a change in the stormwater management on-site.

BACKGROUND

The new Landscape Drawings as attached to the report replace those drawings in Development Permit 2013/15 and Development Permit 2014/02. The reasoning behind this is the change in piped stormwater management. The requirement for stormwater retention on-site has been reduced due to the utilization of an existing stormwater pipe within the provincial road right-of-way which was found during construction of the site. The Ministry of Transportation has provided written approval of the new plans.

PROJECT INFORMATION

The applicant has submitted the following information in support of their application:

1. Landscape drawing L1.01 (Landscape Materials) – Murdoch deGreef Landscape Planning and Design - undated
2. Landscape drawing L2.01 (Planting Plan) – Murdoch deGreef Landscape Planning and Design - undated
3. Landscape drawing L3.01 (Landscape Details) – Murdoch deGreef Landscape Planning and Design - undated
4. Landscape drawing L4.01 (Stormwater Management Plan) – Murdoch deGreef Landscape Planning and Design - undated

ISSUES AND ANALYSIS

Almost all of the changes described in the drawings are off-site (on MOT property) and have been approved in writing by MOT. The plan will provide a solution that works, in an attractive configuration.

RECOMMENDATION

THAT Council approve Development Permit 2016/01 to amend Development Permit 2013/15 and Development Permit 2014-02 by:

• replacing Landscape Drawings L1.01, L2.01, L3.01;
• adding Landscape Drawing L4.01 (Stormwater Management Plan);

as described in the report from the Planner dated February 11, 2016.
