Burnside Watkiss Park – Invasive Removal Program Temporary Sign
RECOMMENDATION:
THAT Council permit the placement of one temporary sign at Burnside Watkiss Park during the one week prior to each invasive removal event for the remainder of 2016.

PURPOSE OF REPORT:
To seek a resolution permitting the temporary placement of one sign at 2201 Watkiss Way (Burnside Watkiss Park).
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION:
Chris Junck is the program coordinator for the invasive and alien plant removal program at Burnside Watkiss Park. In support of the program, and to best promote the workshops, Chris has requested the placement of a sandwich board sign at the corner of Watkiss Way and Burnside Road West.
For each event an 11 x 17 laminated notice would be posted on the sign for a one week period prior to each event. There would likely be two or three events prior to the end of the year.

ALTERNATIVES TO STAFF RECOMMENDATION:
That Council deny the request.
