3. Description of the programs/services/benefits delivered from the subject lands and/or improvements:
SuperKids Saturdays: We bus in approximately 80 children, ages 6-12years, to attend a half day of teaching, hot lunch and games and then drive them home. The event is put on by volunteers who provide role models for the children to help them to cope with the pressures of growing up in their various environments. We teach them how to say no to drugs and negative influences in their lives and present them with a strong moral values system.
SuperKids BBQ: on Wednesday afternoons we bring our BBQ truck to Evergreen Terrace in Blanshard Courts, where most of our SuperKids live, and offer free BBQs in order to build relationship with, not only the kids, but their entire families as well.
SuperKids Camp: Every July we take approximately 90 children, ages 6-12 years, to Camp Bernard in Sooke for one week of outdoor adventure experiences and daily teaching. Most children are funded to attended and most of the staff are volunteers.
Warm-A-Soul: Beginning in November of every year, we collect the contents, from the community, for 1000 Christmas stockings to be handed out to men, women and children in need, during the Christmas season. The families of our SuperKids are always among the first recipients of these gifts.
Christmas Dinner: We host a free Christmas Community dinner for our SuperKids families and their friends. 500 people attend and 100 volunteers serve before, during and after the event.
Extreme Outreach Coffeehouse: In May 2015, we opened our Coffeehouse with the intention of serving the community and raising funds for our SuperKids ventures.
