The Chair called the meeting to order at 7:02 p.m.

7.1 PDAC Action List
The Committee reviewed and discussed the action items.
7.2 View Royal Demographics
The Committee reviewed the View Royal 2011 Census data and would like to obtain the results of the National Household Survey.
7.3 Metrics for Development Success
a) Definition of Successful Planning The Committee discussed the successful planning definition and accepted the following:
“A successful strategic plan provides the information and guidance the management team needs to run the company with greater efficiency and help the business reach its full potential.”
b) Measurements for Successful Development The Committee discussed the Official Community Plan; ideas for measurement beyond the indicators report, including surveys during and post construction phases in order to gauge a project impact and outcomes for the community.
The indicators report will be brought forward by the Planner in the new year.
7.4 Suggestions for Community Events
The Committee discussed the additional work this advisory committee could undertake, specifically:
- community engagement;
- community events (Feast of Fields, Neighbourhood Days, walking and garden tours, WSPR Family Nights, holiday events);
- creating identity for the Town and individual neighbourhoods;
- Town self-promotion;
- current community resources and groups;
- community associations;
- Council engagement in events.
