The Mayor and Council The Town of View Royal 45 View Royal Avenue Victoria, B.C. V9B 1A6

Dear Mayor Screech and Councillors:

The Board of Education wants to build stronger relationships between municipalities and the Songhees and Esquimalt First Nations. As a result, the Board of Education passed a motion on November 16th 2015 directing the Chair to reach out to the Mayors and Councils to see how we can build upon our relationships.

I would like to extend a meeting invitation to you and/or council members in the New Year. It is our hope that our conversation will help identify mutual areas of interest.

I thank you for your time and I look forward to hearing back from you at your earliest convenience.

Sincerely,

Edith Loring-Kuhanga, Board Chair
