Correspondence: Omicron - Clarifications regarding Eagle Creek Village

Re: Eagle Creek Village – Surgery Centre in 29 Helmcken

Further to our May 31 letter please find the following clarifications and additional information.

Attached is a detailed diagram indicating existing lanes and bicycle paths, dimensioned areas to be delineated, traffic movements and area of crane and tractor trailers that will be on site.

Cyclists and vehicles will have to share the entry into the site for the detour just as they would normally enter the site during regular times. Currently the cyclists ride into the Helmcken entrance via the traffic lane entrance.

Our proposal hoarding would be approx. 1500 sf of which 500 sf would be on the View Royal property side.

Loading of the heavy steel will take up to 6 hours, all other smaller deliveries would be expected to be from 1.5 to 2.5 hours.

Garbage bin pick up deliveries will be 10 minutes or less. Flaggers will be used to control traffic while the truck backs into the hoarding area and to control pedestrians. While hooking up the truck will be off the road. Flaggers will then halt traffic if required while the truck leaves but priority will be to find a lull in traffic so there is no disruptions.

We can set a general rule of crane deliveries between 9:30 am and 2:30pm but would like some flexibility to expand on those times if an unplanned situation arrives as we have some very tight time lines on this project. Ie a load from steel from Vancouver is delayed and not quite finished at 2:30.
