2020 Grants in Aid Approval

"THAT the Committee recommend to Council that the following 2020 Grants in Aid be approved in accordance with Policy No. 1600-012 (Grants in Aid): 3 rd Arbutus Scout Group - $630; City of Victoria Canada Day Celebration $1,000; Greater Victoria Bike to Work Society $500; Greater Victoria Crossing Guards Association funding for program at Eagle View and View Royal Elementary Schools - staff to confirm program costs/school and notify Association of potential opportunity for joint funding of program at Shoreline Middle School; Peninsula Streams Society $10,000 conditional on the Millstream Creek Fishway Project proceeding; Vancouver Island South Film and Media Commission $500; Victoria Sexual Assault Centre $5,000; View Royal Reading Centre $30,000; Wounded Warrior Run BC $1,000; Greater Victoria BMX Society $500 conditional on Victoria Nationals event proceeding; Capital Region Food and Agriculture Initiatives Roundtable $500 conditional on Good Food Summit event proceeding; View Royal Climate Coalition $3,000; AND THAT the unallocated balance of the Grants-in-Aid budget be set aside for allocation in the remainder of 2020."
