Council approved the Greater Victoria Public Library's 2023 budget.

"Delegates presented the GVPL budget, citing inflationary pressures impacting salaries, building occupancy, and especially costly digital resource subscriptions (e-resources). Council questioned the budget approval mechanism (majority municipal approval binds all) and sought clarification on the impact of the recent $45M provincial funding allocation, which is not expected to reduce 2023 municipal contributions."
