Official Community Plan Review Advisory Committee
The Committee held a meeting on Monday, August 25, 2025, and provided the following feedback:
- Provide a link to the Housing Needs Report in the preamble,
- Add landmarks on the maps to allow for better orientation of survey respondents,
- Remove re-affirming questions on density that were previously asked in the Community Growth Survey,
- Shorten the preamble to improve clarity and only include relevant information, and
- Reduce the number of open-ended questions.

Public Engagement Overview
Online Survey, Open Houses, and Workshops:
- October to November 2025 (online and in-person engagement)
- Explore broad visioning questions on the Western Gateway Corridor to understand what opportunities and challenges exist
- Determine what values and aspirations respondents have for the Western Gateway Corridor
- Review and identify the preferred draft Western Gateway land use scenario
Objectives and Outcomes:
- Updates to land use designations for the area
- Establish new land use, housing, and economic policies
