PURPOSE:
To establish a policy where funding provided by the Town of View Royal as Grant in Aid or Grant to Organization is not utilized to provide alcohol at events.
DEFINITIONS:

POLICY:
1.0 The Town of View Royal provides funding to support events put on by community organizations through the Town’s Grant in Aid or Grant to Organizations programs.
2.0 To reduce the likelihood of liability issues involving the Town of View Royal’s financial involvement in supporting events, the grant recipient will ensure that Town funds are not utilized to provide alcohol.
3.0 The Town of View Royal does not accept liability for actions following alcohol consumption at events funded through the Town’s grant programs.
