APPLICATION FOR VARIANCE

The Victory Hill Child Care Society is a registered non-profit organization, and we would like to establish a Daycare Centre at 287 Pallisier Avenue, a property belonging to The Redeemed Christian Church of God, Victory Chapel. We recognize the ever-increasing need for child care facilities in View Royal. We are also aware of the significant problems families with young children face in finding affordable and high quality of care child care facilities due to the chronic shortage of Daycare facilities in Greater Victoria region.

Our goal is to contribute to the alleviation of this dearth of childcare facilities in our region. At Victory Hill Child Care Centre, we have a mission to collaborate with parents and caregivers to positively impact our community by providing children with excellent care in a safe, caring, respectful, engaging, loving and godly environment. We believe that early positive formation of a child's character will ultimately impact the community through intergenerational influence because children are the future and sustainability of any community and the country at large. Therefore, our goal will be to form close bonds with each child through warmth, love, trust, respect, encouragement to blossom in their personality while promoting positive social interactions and mutual respect of others. As a Christian Daycare, we believe that God has an active part in all aspects of our lives, therefore we hope to plant seeds of self-worth, self-confidence, courage, boldness, honesty and team spirit in each child through nurturing in God's love, and a creative and innovative learning environment.

The intended hours of operation are 7am to 6pm, Monday to Friday; maximum capacity for the daycare is 20 children and 4 staff members. The Church meets Sundays 9am to 12.30pm and 7pm; Tuesdays and Thursdays 7pm to 8.30pm. The Church office is open Tuesday to Friday from 10am to 4.30pm and has 2 employees.

We have attached a cheque for $550 as Application fee. We kindly request for all the assistance we can get in order to make this project a reality.

Yours Sincerely,

Iheoma farinu Director, Victory Hill Child Care Soceity
