Dear Mayor Screech and Council

I would like to express support for the placement of signage in View Royal depicting the need for a 1 metre spacing between motor vehicles and cyclists. Underneath would be the words “It’s the Law”. For roads where the speed limit is more than 50 km/hr the distance would increase to 1.5 metres. This signage, or similar ones, are prevalent in Europe where there is a mutual respect for all road users. I believe that with the signage in View Royal, over time there will be increased awareness of appropriate distance between motor vehicles and cyclists. I fully support this initiative.
