PRIORITY/ RATIONALE

This is a walking route to Spectrum High school. The traffic volumnes and speeds warrant sidewalks on BOTH sides in both municiaplities. The section in front of Knockan Hill Park is especially dangerous!

Enables better park access and circular walking routes. Reduces risk of pedestrian crossing accidents.

One of 3 examples where View Royal can coordinate with neighbouring municipalities. Atkins / Lanford and Island Highway / Colwood are the other two.

Again a climate action strategy for active transportation: walking.
